  Corset Corner

Corsets come in all shapes and sizes for a variety of uses. With a design legacy that spans six centuries, the corset is firmly cemented in fashion history as one of the most important garments across the world, constantly evolving with the times whilst retaining its unique premise of shaping the human silhouette.

Our corset designers are inspired by the rich history of corset fashion synonymous with Lingerie, Burlesque, Steampunk, and Bridal wear, to name a few. Their product technicians develop unique patterns and utilize the latest fabrics to create the ultimate in modern fit and style.

We purchase from a supplier that works closely with specialist tailors based in China, India, and Nepal. The tailors are experts in corset craftsmanship.

With a passion for unique designs and a dedication to breaking barriers in uncharted territory, The Pink Door’s fan base continues to grow as does our ambition to write our own chapter in the books of fashion trendsetters.

The Pink Door Secret Desires believe that true sophistication and elegance shine through when you not only look stunning but feel exceptionally unique! With ranges that cater to both function and fashion, we provide garments that are designed with you in mind. For those who want to shape their figures or who want to adorn and accessorize themselves, Corset Corner believes in self-expression, championing the individual in us all.

We all have our own story to write in this life; let Corset Corner be a part of shaping yours.

HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION

General Safety Advice

For those of you with medical conditions please consult your Doctor before tight lacing your corset.

Waist Training is not suitable for teenagers or adults who are still developing.

Keep garments out of the reach of children, although these corsets are manufactured to a very high standard they are made from small components which over time may come loose. The faux crystals are glue on, lacing can be removed and eyelets may come loose. These all pose a choking hazard for children, some of the materials that the corsets are made from are flammable; do not smoke in the corset.

Satin polyester can be an irritant, for people with sensitive skin we strongly recommend you purchase a garment with a cotton lining. If you notice any form of rash or change in skin colour then please remove the garment straight away and consult a doctor.

Waist Training – Sensible Advice for safe Waist Reduction

What is waist training? Well, waist training is the process of permanently altering your figure by wearing heavy laced corsets for long periods of time (usually over the course of many months). Although our “Waist Taming” & “Expert Waist Training” garments are suitable for Waist Training, please be aware that there are can be serious side effects to the process for the uninitiated.

Our corsets come from a leading expert on the design & development of Waist Training Corsets but we always advise customers considering Waist Training to speak to a Medical Professional before beginning. We are not experts on your health, we do not have access to your medical history and we are not medically qualified to give such advice.

This is your body we are talking about, we want you to enjoy successful results, but not at the cost of your wellbeing. Our team is here to help you select the perfect fitting corset which is most suitable for your requirements. It would be irresponsible to give advice on Waist Training practices and techniques, we are simply not qualified. If interested in the process of Waist Training we always recommend you take your corset to your Doctor or GP and explain to them exactly what you are looking to achieve. They know your medical history and are there to monitor you throughout the process.

Be smart, do your research, understand the risks, make sure you are supervised.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF

FINDING THE RIGHT CORSET

OUR RATINGS EXPLAINED

HOW TO

MEASURE YOURSELF

Wear a comfortable, good-fitting, and supportive bra with no push-up or padding.

Do not measure over the clothing.

Stand straight but relaxed with your feet slightly apart. Do not twist, slouch or extend

your torso. This will affect your measurements.

Use a tailoring measure tape; ensure it is snug without being too tight.

For more accurate measures ask a friend or use a full-length mirror.

YOUR BUST

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, which is usually your nipples and around your back.

YOUR WAIST

Measure all around the narrowest part of your waist below your rib cage. To find the narrowest part below your ribs, lean from side to side and place your finger where your torso is bending.

YOUR HIP

To locate where to measure your hip, lift your leg when standing and feel with your finger where the bone articulates into the pelvis. It is close to the fullest part of your hip and the tape measure should go around the top of your bottom. Do not measure your high hip.

YOUR TORSO LENGTH

This is a vertical body measurement. Whilst standing measure straight down from your underbust to the same hip articulation point where the bone articulates into the pelvis. Ensure that your back is straight. You can also do this measurement when seated on a hard chair with a straight back and good posture to double-check the measurement. Measure straight down from your underbust to the same articulation point where the crease is at your lap. Compare your torso length with the Princess / Bust seam length of your corset. If the corset Princess / Bust seam length is too long it may be uncomfortable when seated and you may need to choose a style suitable for a shorter torso. For an Overbust Corset, the Bust seam length can give you an idea of how much bust coverage that you should get with a specific neckline.
